Public Relations and Newsletter Committee
this committee works to plan, create, develop and produce the chapter
newsletter and public relations news releases on behalf of the Vermont Chapter. The Chapter staff is responsible
for most of the Administrative services so that most of your work is planning and organizing content of newsletters.
Clinical Social Work Task Force this task force represents the largest group of social workers among the membership. It
represents the needs and issues of Clinical Social Workers to the Board, National office, State Legislature, Governments Administration
and private organizations. Minority Task Force this Task Force exists to monitor, evaluate and provide feedback to the
Chapter about emerging issues that impact minority group members in NASW VT, the state of Vermont and elsewhere.
Education and Professional Development Committee this committee ensures that there are continuing education/professional
development programs throughout the year to meet social workers diverse needs. The CEU committee, a sub-committee of Ed
and Prof Development, reviews and approves providers who have applied for CEUs for their trainings/workshops.
PACE helps elect candidates to public office who support legislation and policies consistent with the goals of
the social work profession and the needs of those who are served by the social work profession in Vermont; promotes
NASW legislative policies through political action and/or through support of candidates; and promotes political education
and full participation in the political process among members of the social work profession.
Legislative Committee advances the social work principles and policies on human services and social programs
through legislative enactment.
Gay & Lesbian Issues Task Force - this task force exists to monitor, evaluate
and provide feedback to the Chapter about emerging issues that impact gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered
individuals who are members of NASW VT or live in the state of Vermont and elsewhere.
Womens Issues Task Force - this Task Force exists to monitor, evaluate and provide feedback to the Chapter
about emerging issues that impact women who are members in NASW VT, the state of Vermont and elsewhere.
